We can't recommend enough the Eisinga Planetarium. This dude built this planetarium in the ceiling of his living room in the 1700s. He was a sheep farmer. It's still accurate to this day. HIGHLY recommend this as a stop.

This is an excellent grocery store in Grou.

BONUS that you can pull in at the docks BEHIND the grocery store right past the push button bridge on your left side. Excellent for that first provision you need when you get on the boat.

This is inside of Marina Stavoren.

You have to get tokens from the front desk to do laundry. There are 2 washing machines and a huge dryer.

As of 2024, washer is 5E, dryer is 4E.

The washing machines have their own soap. You have to push the button behind the washing machine when you load it up before you start the washer.

Marina Stavoren inside of the lock is an excellent place to park. Slightly pricey, but has excellent showers and laundry.

De Rat working sawmill/windmill.

As of 2024, the cost to get in is 2E and it's worth it to see it. You get to climb to the top of a real windmill and see how it all works.

We love parking in this little marina. It's right in front of De Rat windmill and a museum. One of the 11 fountains is behind the museum.

The showers near the Action are free.

You get 6 minutes then you have to wait 5 minutes before you can push the button again.

DO NOT go into the shower in the far right. It never gets warm, and by the time there is a little heat, the shower goes off and the whole cycle starts again.

Moorings are perfect in town past the bridge in town behind the lion fountain.

You will park next to a church.

Bathrooms are behind the Action to your left as you walk towards the church from the marina.

This town is on the Turf Route if you are leaving out of Grou.

On entering the town, after the 3rd bridge, you can grab moorings under the trees on the Left Side.

As of 2024, washer is 5E and dryer is 4E. Good machines.

This is the marina bathroom/shower for the "Anja Marina" (main marina in Grou behind Het Theehuis.

You need a code to get into the shower building.

Showers are 4 minutes per button push, no waiting between button pushes. Excellent showers.

Sneek has 2 bathrooms available to boaters.

One is near Oppenhuizerweg 48. The other is near Rienck Bockemakade 3.

The showers are free but only go for 1 minute per button push.

This restaurant is EXCELLENT Italian food in Sneek. Owned by an Armenian man (Ara) and a Dutch woman (Elvira), they also spend plenty of time in Italy.

Ara also lived on the west coast in America for a number of years.

Sneek has QR codes at each mooring to pay for evening. Includes electricity hookup. Uses the iMarina website to pay.
